Corr Votes for State Budget Approved by House
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Michael Corr (R-Montgomery) today issued the following statement after voting for the state budget bill approved by the state House that now heads to the governor for his consideration:

“One of my primary goals was to work with my colleagues and the administration to identify potential areas where state government could reduce costs and save taxpayer money. This budget incorporates some important measures to streamline government and increase efficiency.

“The budget also will invest more money in our local schools, which is good news for students and the property owners who pay a large share of the cost to fund local education.

“This budget is based on the understanding that tax dollars are a limited resource and taxpayers want to see their money used in a fiscally responsible manner. It was approved by the state House and Senate with overwhelming bipartisan cooperation. My colleagues and I are working to give Pennsylvanians a state government that controls costs while providing a high level of service.”
